The welding of approximately 2000 joints is shared between two robots. Since the robots are suspended upside down on the gantry with 3-axis movement capability, they can be positioned to access all welding points.
In addition to the Servo Robot laser sensor, the arc and touch sensor functions of the Fanuc robot are used to accurately locate the welding points on the chassis. Servo 3-axis positioner and hydraulic fixture ensure that the chassis is stabilised and takes the desired welding position.
